Brigada Eskwela 2026 Balangkayan SHS brought something truly special to our school this year. Before the first bell rang and before the first lesson began, our community came together with one shared purpose — to make sure every learner at Balangkayan Senior High School – Stand Alone walks into a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom on the first day of school.

What Is Brigada Eskwela?

Brigada Eskwela is an annual program of the Department of Education (DepEd). It calls on communities across the Philippines to volunteer their time, skills, and resources to prepare public schools before the opening of classes. In essence, it is bayanihan in action — the Filipino tradition of coming together for the common good. This year, Balangkayan SHS answered that call with full force and open hearts.

When the activity began, our volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Walls were repainted. Floors were scrubbed. Desks were cleaned and arranged. Broken fixtures were repaired. Moreover, gardens were cleared and school grounds were swept clean from corner to corner.

Furthermore, the transformation was not just physical. As each classroom took shape, something else grew alongside it — a renewed sense of pride, community, and shared ownership over the spaces where our learners grow every single day.

Additionally, the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard lent their strength and manpower to help prepare our school grounds. Their public service extends far beyond their daily duties, and we are truly grateful.
